Hiring: Social Media Specialist (Contract Embed)
Ona Media Company is seeking a Social Media Specialist to embed full-time with one of our most exciting client partners – a fast-growing, nationally recognized direct-to-consumer brand with a loyal following and a social presence that gives followers something to “bark” about.
This is an opportunity to build something with a brand that looks good on a resume and even better in a portfolio.
You’ll be on-site at their New York City headquarters four days a week from mid-July through January, working alongside their in-house creative and copy teams while staying connected to our remote Chicago team.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day organic social media operations across platforms
- Collaborate with in-house creative and copy teams to ideate, develop, manage, and publish content
- Partner with teams to build workflows, campaign planning frameworks, and content calendars from the ground up
- Stay ahead of planned and real-time opportunities
- Produce campaign and monthly reports and insights
- Serve as the embedded social media lead, the person who literally brings the concepts to market
What We’re Looking For
- 2-4 years of social media experience, with brand-side or agency experience preferred
- Solid platform knowledge across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Comfortable collaborating with creative and copy teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Organized and self-directed – you can hold down the fort on-site while staying aligned with a remote team
- Some exposure to content planning, workflow tools, or reporting a plus
- Experience with Notion and/or Dash Social a plus
- Consumer brand experience a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000–$85,000 annualized
- Healthcare stipend
- Paid sick leave, holidays, and PTO
